Carpet Designing At T N Carpet Rugs

DESIGNING AND GRAPHING

After getting the ideas from our customers of their specific designs, then it is drawn by our professional designing team by using modern and powerful software. The designing software used by T.N. Carpet rugs are the most advanced ones of the market which allows our designers to let their imagination go and create almost anything. Once a design is finalized, a full size graph is edited. It will be further used by our weavers to know what color is to be used for each knot.

SOURCING OF THE RAW MATERIAL

When it comes to sourcing the Raw Material we T.N. Carpet Rugs always choose the best possible yarn material for making our rugs, because the touch and the feel of the handmade rug is highly depends on the way these raw materials are selected, spun, dyed and washed. Our carpets are one of a kind and we are consistent in making same carpets in customized sizes.

DYEING

Yarn is wound on a wheel-like frame, and dipped and kept into boiling hot vats of dye to embed its intended color. Temperature and concentration of the dye, thickness of the yarn and soaking time are the main factors that needs to be taken into account during this process. The yarn is then hung to dry in the sun, then stored until use. At T.N. Carpet rugs we dye solid, space and abrush dyeing by using over thousands of colors.

Making Ball or Cone

A simple, but yet important step that consists in combining 3 plyes of yarn together and organizing them into a ball shape to facilitate the weaving process.

WEAVING

This process is done in a very creative way, it is performed by 3 to 4 weavers depend on the size of the Rug. Rug weaving is finished with the assistance of iron-rod, scissors, yarn balls, levers, comb beater, and so on. The most widely recognized knot thickness of our rugs are 100 and 150 knots for every square inch.

WASHING

Before being sent to you, your rugs will be washed using fresh water and eco-friendly household detergent. A wooden block is run up and down the carpet’s surface to remove any kind of dirt and restore the original shine of the wool.

BINDING

There are several options for finishing the edges to prevent fraying. The most common choices for carpet finishing are binding, serging, and fringing.

STRETCHING/LATEXING

Carpet stretching involves applying multi-directional tension on a carpet forcing it to straighten and smooth out. The edges are carefully trimmed down to achieve the perfect carpet size for your room.

In the manufacturing of machine-made carpets and rugs, the woven rugs or tufted carpets need to be finished with a coating of latex compound at their back. This gives good anchoring of the piles to the primary backing or woven substrate
